Augel GmbH supports holiday camp for orphans
Generous financial donation for the German Red Cross
WEIBERN, 10.09.2019. In September last year Augel GmbH celebrated its 90th anniversary. Instead of gifts, the family-run company accepted cash donations from guests on this occasion. The sum of 1,105.00 euros received last year was doubled by the construction company this summer and rounded up to a total of 2,400.00 euros. The total sum went to the German Red Cross, which together with foreign aid for 20 orphans from the Ukraine organized a unique holiday camp in the district.
The children were accompanied by four carers and an interpreter during the holiday camps, organised by the DRK-Kreisverband Ahrweiler, the DRK-Ortsverein Weibern and the Auslandshilfe. In addition to orphans and half-orphans, children with difficult family backgrounds also got the chance to attend this special event. The free time and the associated unique experience for the children could only be made possible thanks to donations to the DRK-Kreisverband Ahrweiler and the donations collected for the children in the course of the Augel company anniversary.
"First of all, we would like to thank you, also in the name of the DRK-Kreisverband Ahrweiler, for the generous donation on the occasion of the holiday camp of the Ukrainian children", so the local association Weibern. "Of course we also thank the donors on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Augel company".
