As a mason at Augel, you construct shell structures for buildings according to given plans and designs. To do this, you first concrete the foundations so that walls can then be erected on them for the outer and inner walls. Different types of stone are used to build the walls, such as brick, clinker or concrete block. Afterwards you have to check with a spirit level and plumb bob whether everything fits and stands straight.

You also work with prefabricated parts. You seal shell structures and masonry, insulating and protecting them from moisture penetration. Laying screed, i.e. floor coverings, is also one of your tasks as a mason. However, you are not only involved in the construction of new buildings, you also carry out repair and renovation work on old buildings. To do this, you check the condition of the building, detect structural damage and repair it.
