The outstanding partnership between Wacker Chemie AG and the contractors Augel and BGS made it possible to complete the rehabilitation project in Nünchritz quickly and smoothly. Wacker Chemie AG's employees managed the coordination of the various trades involved independently, thus laying the foundations for a scheduled and completely trouble-free renewal of the plant's sump.
The biggest advantage: production could be continued throughout the entire refurbishment measures.
THE NÜNCHRITZ PLANT
has been one of Wacker Chemie AG's sites since 1998. In Nünchritz, Wacker produces silicon-based chemicals. The Group pays particular attention to environmental protection and sustainability: All production plants form a highly integrated network system for maximum conversion of raw materials into target products. For this reason, the fastest possible refurbishment of a production plant's catchment basin was initiated with an AwSV (Ordinance on Systems for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water) sealing layer.
