separation cut (cold cut)

Separation cut is the term used to describe the cutting of pipes/pipelines for crude oil, product and gas.

A COMPLICATED SEPARATION PROCESS, AS IT TAKES PLACE IN EXPLOSION ZONES. AUGEL EMPLOYEES ARE EXTENSIVELY QUALIFIED AND TRAINED FOR CUTTING WORK IN SENSITIVE EX. ZONES.

Our equipment is tested by means of strict safety procedures and has explosion protection documents that confirm and permit its use in explosion zones.

Prior to separation cut, Augel prepares a detailed risk assessment and carefully implements the resulting measures.

Then the separation cut is made by means of a cold cut within the framework of explosion protection:

• Pipe milling machine
• Plane
• High Pressure Water Process

To protect our employees, the machines are remotely controlled and operated outside the pipe trench.
